Low energy is something I’ve struggled with my entire life, but over the last few years I’ve discovered some daily habits that have significantly – and sustainably – boosted my physical and emotional energy.
Try these and see if they work for you too.
1. Twenty minute morning meditation using the mantra ‘I am.’ This is a mental workout that trains you to focus your mind on the present moment – where the purest and most powerful source of energy exists – for the rest of the day.
2. Twice weekly HIIT workout or other exercise you enjoy. My favourite is Orange Theory which is a 1 hour guided workout that includes treadmill, weights and rowing sessions.
3. Glass of lemon water upon waking. I learned this tip from energy guru Vanessa Grutman.
4. Listening to sound baths on YouTube daily. I love the ones from Healing Vibrations Media.
5. Boundaries – protecting my time and emotional energy so that I can focus on people, places and activities that light me up.
